I had a good trip in Redang island in August 2014
It was 4 days 3 nights trip.
To be honest, I didn't expect too much before...
However, the sea, beach and landscape are really amazed me!
Thanks to my friends for accompanying me~
I really need a good rest and vacation, need a short pause from work....
After that, we took taxi from airport to jetty, it takes around 40 mins.
From jetty to Redang island, by speedboat, it takes around 40 mins as well.
So, after two times transfers, finally we arrived in Redang!!!
Good weather, fresh air, sunny day, clean beach and amazing sea!!
This is so called beach holiday~ isn't it?
Our hotel is 5 stars, Sari pacifica resort & spa redang
But to be honest, we didn't feel that this hotel is worth getting 5 stars...
I was surprised that the resort in Redang actually is quite pricey.
Overall this hotel is a bit old, and the food is just acceptable.
Maybe we expect more, so that's why we feel a bit disappointed.

Fortunately they have good beach and nice swimming pool, so we didn't have a bad mood to enjoy our vacation.
We also visited the other resorts and hotels, compare to Bali, in Redang, there's no many choice. The food is also limited choice here, either you choose BBQ buffet, or some restaurants nearby.
First night we spent 70 RMB for a hotel buffet. And I realized one thing- In Redang, it's not a place that you can enjoy food very much. It's a place that you can enjoy snorkeling, some water activities, nice beach, and enjoy a great view!
So take my advice, enjoy sea, sun and beach, not food!

We tried a restaurant at second night, called- Summer point. It was not bad, just next to Redang beach resort.
They serve some seafood, Malaysian style, Thai style and Chinese style.
The most important thing is they have my favorite cider!!!
Ok, now, What to do in Redang?
My suggestion is, you can choose to lie on the beach, play beach volleyball, snorkeling, island hopping, scuba diving, island hiking and beach walking.
All the resort they have their own dive house, just go and check with them, you can find your favorite activity for sure!
The funny thing is, I tried scuba diving in Guam before, but I never tried snorkeling. At first, it was very difficult for me, I didn't know how to breathe! Seriously!
But practice makes perfect. After two days snorkeling~ Finally, I can control my breath.
I have to say.... the undersea world is really amazing!!!
The coral reef, and tropical fishes, also I see my favorite nemo!! :)
If your are luck, probably you can see sea turtles and baby sharks.
The sea is really clean, in Redang, compare to Langkawi or the other islands, it's more clean. They are trying to protect beach, sea and coral.
Without clean beach and sea, it won't be attractive anymore....
This is natural gift, we should cherish, and try to don't destroy it.

We really enjoyed snorkeling every day! And also we went to many nice snorkeling place.
Highly recommended Redang island!
If you like nice beach, clean water, you should definitely visit this place~
